About Us
My name is Cathryn Austin and I am the owner and licensee of our beautiful Arwon’s Little Angels Child Care Centre.
Let me give you a short history of our family homes that are proudly now Heritage.
Back in the 1920’s a young constable in the police force by the name of Ben King, along with his wife Enid, purchased a couple of blocks of dirt (dad would say) for 2 quid a block in the country town of Nowra , and built two homes there at the top of the town 57 & 59 St Ann’s Street, this was our family home the only dwelling in St Ann’s Street to be built as dad was only 1 of three first policemen in the old Nowra Police Station.
In those days it was the depression and money was very scarce. Dad built the homes with what money they could scrape together with mum there assisting him all the way. Ben was one of the very first policemen in the town and still is today a household name. An ex-carpenter taught by his dad he managed to build the homes while still in the force on days off. Dads real name is William Percival George King but named Ben by his Police mates because he rode a Harley Davidson with a side car as per Ben Hur !.
I am the youngest daughter and along with my sister Joan and brother Bill we enjoyed growing up in these two beautiful old homes built by our dad and mum. We have the utmost respect for our loving parents and their dedication to giving us a happy loving life. They loved us and our children unconditionally and gave us 100% of their time and love.
I am dedicating this Centre to Ben and Enid King. I know they would be so proud to see it as a Child Care Centre because they loved to see happy children. I am carrying on their legacy to build a safe and happy environment filled with lots of love, care and hugs for our little ones.

Come in and see us! We welcome all visitors to the centre to look around and enjoy the tranquil feeling of satisfaction in knowing your child could not be happier and content in before-school care, we look after our children as if they were our own!
