A Word From Lesley
Welcome to the January Newsletter. Our first edition for 2021!
I hope that you all had a wonderful & safe Christmas.
We all enjoyed the break and we are ready to kick off 2021 with a bang! We have lots of great events planned this year & we hope that all our families can attend, although we understand how busy everyone is.
As we are close to full this year, we ask for your patience with children transitioning up to the Butterflies’ Room & those families on our internal waiting list…I will contact you the moment your days become available.
Our annual Centre Christmas Party was an outstanding success with a visit from Hef the Alpaca. Special thanks go to all the staff who gave of their own time to help out at the venue on this festive occasion. We also appreciate all the positive feedback that we have received. As you know these events don’t “just happen”! The staff give up a lot of their own time to organize exciting & different activities for the children in their care & to have such appreciative parents & seeing the lovely, smiling faces on the children on the day makes it all worthwhile!
Room Changes For 2021
As most of our existing families are remaining this year (& enrolling siblings) we will only be taking a handful of new families this month. Currently the staff will remain relatively the same with most of each room’s staff staying on in their rooms. Details of any changes in the rooms will be communicated to families.
Management Structure
This year’s staff structure will be as follows:
Cathryn is the owner of the Centre & also the Authorised Provider. Management issues, complaints & licensing issues are to be addressed to her.
Lesley is a qualified teacher and the Nominated Supervisor who is responsible for enrolments, fees, complaints, staffing issues and rosters, room supervision, programming supervision, Inclusion Support, family liaison, Accreditation, DoCS , training & development, practicum students, volunteer & work experience organization, OH&S, liaising with Cathryn & the general day to day running of the Centre.
Sue is the qualified teacher who is in charge of the Lady Bugs’ Room. Sue is responsible for the programming, observations, child development profiles and evaluations for all the children who will be going to “Big School” next year. Sue also develops individual portfolios each term which includes a written report. At the end of the year Sue organizes the Graduation ceremony. Parent/teacher interviews as well as an information night are held during the year.
Kelsey is the leader of the Butterflies’ Room. She is responsible for the smooth running of the room, programming, observations & evaluations & liaising with parents & myself.
Karina is the leader of the Caterpillars’ Room. Her duties are as for Kelsey.
Jemma is the leader of the Gloworms’Room (0-2). Her duties are as for Kelsey. Jemma also takes over when Lesley has left for the day.
Elizabeth is the other educator in the Butterflies’ Room.
Lyza & Kayla G. are the other educators in the Caterpillars’ Room.
Naomi & Sheree are the other educators in the Gloworms’ Room.
Emily, Demi, Coleen & Stacey are our casuals!
Coraleigh is our trainee.
Baby News:
Congratulations to Jade & James Allan on the birth of Breeze – a brother for Winter in the Caterpillars’ Room! Congratulations also go to Kayla & Kerry, Emmerson’s parents, on the birth of Kingsley. All are doing well!
